Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch Brings Spring to Life with New Exhibit

Are you ready for spring? The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch will once again burst into bloom, welcoming visitors for the 2025 season starting March 1.

With 55 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus, the destination invites families, friends and flower lovers to immerse themselves in a spectacular display for spring.

This year, the Flower Fields debuts its first-ever traveling exhibit, “Glass in Flight,” by artist Alex Heveri. This installation features over three dozen shimmering glass and steel sculptures of butterflies, dragonflies, bees and other delicate creatures, complementing the vivid floral landscape.

“This is going to be the most colorful season at the Flower Fields to date,” said General Manager Fred Clarke. “We can’t wait to see the faces of our guests as they take in the sight of Alex Heveri’s life-like, giant sculptures set against the natural beauty of the Flower Fields.”

Crafted from Dalle de Verre glass and bright, powder-coated steel, Heveri’s intricate pieces will be scattered throughout the fields, reflecting light and enhancing the splendor of the gardens.

Visitors can look forward to a full schedule of activities, from live music to wellness classes. Returning favorites include Sunset Wine Tasting, Flower Crown Workshops, Family Yoga and Sound Healing, alongside attractions such as the American Flag of Flowers, Sweet Pea Maze, and Tractor Wagon Rides.

Planning a visit

Located at 5704 Paseo Del Norte, the attraction is open from early March through early May.

Tickets must be purchased online in advance. General admission is at $27 for adults, with discounts for seniors, military and children. Season passes are $57. Wagon tours cost $8 for adults and $4 for children.

Private event bookings, including corporate gatherings and weddings, are also available year-round.
